PLEASE DONT SCROLL!
Yesterday I catered my first major event, a fundraiser very close to my heart, I made cupcakes, some kids sold loom bands. It was wonderful to see people coming together and the fundraiser itself made over $2000 in about 3 hours, it was fantastic. All the proceeds went to support an amazing man which progressive MS. He and his wife for the last 13 years have run a charity called “Pink Ribbon Ride” which raises money for breast cancer, each year in Australia hundreds of people (1500 this year) would show up and ride around Sydney dressed in pink silly costumes to raise awareness for Breast Cancer as well as money that ALL gets donated to Sydney hospital’s breast cancer facility. This wonderful couple started this charity and have raised well over 50,000 in the 13 years they were doing it and now its their turn to get something back.
Aaron needs treatment or he will die. Not might. WILL. They have exhausted all options in Australia and nothing is helping. Aaron needs treatment that is only available in Russia, and he needs to be in this years group of people going over because he wont make it to next years group. He needs $80,000 by September. I know it is a lot of money but he’s done so much. He’s supported women, equality, illness and so much more… This family have spent years giving back to the community and they need help.
I dont have many followers and I doubt many will donate, I understand alot of people dont have money to throw around but if you could tell people, or share the facebook page, reblog this, tweet the link, anything at all. We have four months until its too late, so please do anything you can. Buy a shirt, a mug, a hat, a patch, donate $1 or $2 it doesnt matter, spread the word, like the facebook page, anything at all. He’s a good man, a father, a husband and a dear friend to not just me but so many others.
Please, we’ve gotten people a fluffy chicken, can we get a good man life saving medical treatment? Can Tumblr make a difference?
